Combining a long 25.5-inch scale length (as opposed to the Gibson-standard 24.75 inches) with a Sitka spruce top, traditionally scalloped wide X-bracing, and rosewood back and sides, the Advanced Jumbo Original delivers a booming bass response and mammoth projection that’s sure to thrill bluegrass flatpickers and strummers. Next, the Advanced Jumbo Original’s comfortable mahogany neck — fit with a traditional compound dovetail joint with hot hide glue — comes topped with a beautifully bound rosewood fingerboard that displays dazzling diamond and arrow mother-of-pearl inlays. You also get a charming collection of period-inspired appointments, including a vintage-style square bridge, a fire stripe pickguard, and the iconic Gibson script logo on the headstock.
