The 2008 Gibson Les Paul Supreme is a highly ornate, non-Custom Shop model built to feature premium, high-end appointments. It is known for having an arched, AAA-figured maple top and a matching, bookmatched, arched maple back. Because the body is hollowed for wiring, it lacks rear control plates and generally features a chambered mahogany body for a lighter, more resonant feel.

- Body: Chambered mahogany with a carved AAA-grade flamed maple top and back.
- Neck: Mahogany with a '60s slim taper profile, though Supreme necks of this era often show a slight taper into '50s depths near the higher frets.
